Sift the flour, salt, chia seeds, powder sugar, cornstarch, baking soda and baking powder
Mix the apple sauce, buttermilk, curd, vanilla, butter/oil together. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and make a lumpy batter
Place a pancake maker mold similar to the picture over a vessel filled with water and bring to boil. Grease the pancake mould with some oil/butter and spoon batter into the mould about half full. Place chocolate candy pieces on the batter and cover the candy with more batter. Cover the moulds with a lid and let it cook for 5-10mins. Then flip the pancake and cook/steam for another 5-10 mins. Remove from moulds. Enjoy with coffee/tea/on its own!
